Hello, o person reading my site. My name is Woozalia, or Woozle for short. When I'm not fruitlessly attempting to save the world (mostly through software), I write and record music, parodies, and occasional satire.

Some things

I may have originated this, though it sounds a lot like something Spider Robinson would have said:

Let ye who is without pun cast the first groan.

There's more about me in writing. Like, probably way more than you want to know.

Reviews

Woozalia, also known as Woozle, is a multifaceted individual primarily known for writing and recording music, creating parodies, and engaging in software-related projects. Woozalia maintains a personal website where they share their music, satirical works, and commentary, as well as updates about their personal journey, including their gender transition. Based in Durham, North Carolina, Woozalia (Nicola Staddon) also has professional experience in collaborative software design and epistemics.

What inspired Woozalia to start making music and satire?

Woozalia began making music in the early 1980s, initially experimenting with a 4-track reel-to-reel deck and a Moog Opus 3 synthesizer. Her early inspiration appears rooted in a passion for independent music creation and technological experimentation, as evidenced by her later pioneering work in the mid-1990s, when she created a website to stream music online for indie artists—ahead of its time for supporting independent musicians and leveraging new technology for creative expression.
