In 1997, radio station WPUP in Athens (which is not the same radio station that now goes by those call letters) was changing ownership, and they decided to have a contest before the official hand-off. Listeners were invited to send in their parodies or original songs on any topic, with preference given to songs about the station.
Since the new owners were considering changing from a more diverse format to something more mainstream, I wrote and recorded two parodies expressing my wish that they Not Do That.
