In 1997, radio station WPUP in Athens (which is not the same radio station that now goes by those call letters) had a parody contest in which listeners were invited to send in recordings of original parodies -- on any topic, I think, though I can't remember the details. Since WPUP was at that time considering changing from a more diverse format to something more mainstream, I wrote and recorded two parodies expressing my wish that they Not Do That.
