The rich get rich and the poor get screwed and the pundits point at you And the wise men up in Congress say they don't know what to do They've got their marching orders to tell us things that just aren't true Each move goes to the least unwilling pawn And I don't know where we're going if this goes on. The Partygoers promised us oppression they would fight with guns and Jesus and and gritted teeth, minds locked up safe and tight The occupiers gathered and were welcomed with loaded arms While the Partygoers danced on their plastic lawn And I don't know where we're going if this goes on. They took away due process, and locked it in a cell. Nobody has heard from it, though they say it's doing well. They promise in a few years it'll get a secret trial I have to wonder if it's all a con And I don't know where we're going if this goes on. You say you didn't realize how much control they had They own your phone and TV set, your books and your iPad I guess you think it's okay they read your emails to your dad while the FBI is camped out on your lawn And I don't know where we're going if this goes on. You voted for the frackers; I guess some people don't learn. They fracked up the midwest pretty well; I guess you deserved a turn. They'll be fracking up the seaside
