I assumed control of toot.cat, a Mastodon instance, in January 2018. It has grown from nearly 1000 users to over 1400, and most of them aren't even spambots. ^.^
I've been primarily active on Mastodon since mid-2017.
- It's really nice to feel like my posts aren't somehow contributing to the plutonomy.
- I'm also looking for alternatives that more closely approximate G+/FB.
- Hubzilla is looking pretty good but needs more people. (If you're on Diaspora or Friendica, federate with me!)
- I miss
Google+, despite its issues. It was a very successful space that was killed, in stages, by corporate-think.
I do still occasionally post on Facebook and even #birdsite.
