I assumed control of <echo raw now><a rel="me" href="https://toot.cat/@woozle">toot.cat</a></echo>, a Mastodon instance with a few hundred users, in January 2018. It has grown from nearly 1000 users to over 1400, and most of them aren't even spambots. ^.^

I've been primarily active on Mastodon since mid-2017.

  • It's really nice to feel like my posts aren't somehow contributing to the plutonomy.
  • I'm also looking for alternatives that more closely approximate G+/FB.
    • Hubzilla is looking pretty good but needs more people. (If you're on Diaspora or Friendica, federate with me!)
  • I miss Google+, despite its issues. It was a very successful space that was killed, in stages, by corporate-think.

I do still occasionally post on Facebook and even #birdsite.
